Bender released another landmark RoboMx yesterday, the beta 1 version of RoboMx 2
http://mxcontrol.sf.net/mirror/RoboMX20b1.exe
And for the source code
http://mxcontrol.sf.net/mirror/RoboMX_200b1src.tar.gz
Changes:
- Simplified settings dialog a bit by hiding advanced options (uncheck "hide advanced to see them again )
- Added option to display a little marker in the chat when you switch to another window so you can easily find where you left the chat
- Added option to load the end of the previous chat-log into the chatwindow when entering a room
- Fixed some bugs here and there
Enjoy.
Cheers Bender and Bine

Another great release folks from Bender.
This is the latest of the RoboMx 2.* series, betas (Version b2)
http://mxcontrol.sf.net/mirror/RoboMX20b2.exe
In a change to the normal release method it has now been decided to offer the file without the included runtimes, that are normally on your machine anyway
http://mxcontrol.sf.net/mirror/RoboMX20b2_no_MFC.exe
The source code link is not working at the time of posting, so I shall not include it please refer to Benders forum for that if you require it
http://mxcontrol.sourceforge.net/module ... ame=Forums
Changes since Beta 1:
-Bugfix in the Plugin API (small one)
-New default settings. @ Betatester: Make clean installation and let me know if those are more to your likings (if you dont notice anything, they are OK )
-New installer: Sound effects are not included anymore and will be distributed as a seperate package.
Also from now on I will provide an installer without the MFC runtime included to reduce the download size for people upgrading from old robomx versions and users that already have the MFC 7.1 runtime installed (saves around 1.4 MB)
Also with this release comes a new trivia plugin interface.
This is a Trivia Game plugin for RoboMX 2.0. It can use the trivia xml files from Metis but has a lot more features then the Metis Trivia game:
No configuration required (just put the plugin and the xml files in the Plugin folder of RoboMX)
Game Masters can start and stop the game from tha channel
Roundbased trivia games (variable number of questions per round)
Game Masters can skip questions
Completly configurable for advanced users
Hints! Bot can give a hint to the answer if the question is not answered after half the answering time
Integrates fully into the RoboMX context menus (userlist and chatmenu)
Get that from here
http://mxcontrol.sf.net/mirror/Trivia11b1.zip
Cheers Bender, and thanks for all the hard work we know goes into Robomx

by me here
Hooorayyyy...
RoboMX v2.05 released today...
Added some optional new features to the chatwindow
(have a look at Options/Look&Feel)
Big improvement of nickname handling in channels
with color support (it will work in most but not all
color rooms, depending on the settings of the server):
1) RoboMX can now ignore users with color names
2) Rightclick menus in chatview work now on colornames
3) Better blocking of color codes: RoboMX can now
completly block colors and even display the
RAWNAME with the raw color codes instead of the
colored nickname. (Options/Colors/Block Color Codes
and Options/Colors/Show Rawname). However, this
option might have some unwanted side effects
depending on the server...
4) The plugins will now allways see the rawname for
opmessages and colored messages.
Removed some obsolete code and improved some
implementations here and there
Another run at the Winamp problem...
Delete-Key now removes a channel from the channellist
Fixed users not removed from maps when leaving
This sounds great.. its always a pleasure to see new updates on your great programs. Thanks Bender and all the folks at MXControl
Grab this little goodie at

Enjoy

MXControl - Plugins and other goodies wrote:Released a new version of the Echo plugin. Can echo join and part messages now and remembers the settings...
Also there is a new plugin called rainbow that creates messages with random colors. Preceed your message with #>># in RoboMX and the Plugin will color it.
Furthermore I uploaded a zipfile with the old usermode icons from RoboMX 1.2 (and older versions) for those who like them better... You can customize the userlist icons in the options dialog of RoboMX. Make sure "Advanced Options" is ticked and then go to 'Userlist'. There you can select the Bitmap files for the usermodes.
Last but not least:
The Soundeffects are not bundled with RoboMX anymore but come with a seperate installer.
